Perch raises $123.5M to acquire and operate the best-of-the-best Amazon FBA businesses

Wayfair alums, Chris Bell (Founder & CEO of Perch), Matt Montgomery (COO), Ryan Sutton (VP Growth), and Jesse Li (Sr. PM) have recently catapulted their company into the next stage of growth, with a nice round of funding. The $123.5 Million will allow the company to continue acquiring D2C businesses that are selling on Amazon.

For those living under a river bed of rocks, Perch is a Boston born, profitable, high growth startup taking the Amazon FBA marketplace by storm. Their company not only invests millions into acquiring winning products and brands within the ecosystem, but leverages technology to optimize their businesses. Think VC meets consumer meets fine tuning a well-oiled (or more like electric) machine. Their platform it’s already servicing their existing customers, with plans to expand rapidly. Today, Perch’s tech helps their D2C brands gain insights and access analytics pertaining to sales, inventory, advertising strategy, and pricing. In the future, it will also help these companies sell products on retail and social channels.

Investors in Perch include Spark Capital, Tectonic Ventures, and Boston Seed. Wayfund is not an investor in the company, but instead here with a band of fans and emotional support. ;)

We’re looking forward to seeing this team build a massive business in a massive space. Go crew go!
